Yesterday on my way home from work I had the pleasure of watching my entire odometer roll over to that magical 300,000 mark. I had seen the thousands counter roll over several times, but never before had I seen the entire 7 places roll over simultaneously. I will never forget that experience, and with this car it will never happen again. She's getting old, and she's starting to fall apart, but she still starts every time, and always gets me home at the end of the day. I laugh in the face of the American car industry, never could Ford or Chevy even think of 300k. So here's to Honda and they're crazy Japanese ability to manufacture the world's best cars. Thank you Mr. Honda, you made my day yesterday.

Congrats. It is funny to watch all 7 digits roll over. I had that first experience a few months ago.

Congrats. Jared has something like 370,000, and I know another member has/had about 400,000. When I sold mine it was a few thousand away from 300,000

my uncle's '89 3gee had about 370000 miles on it last time he was here a few years back. he still has it, said it still runs great. he lives in houston so there's no telling how many miles he has on it now. hes a mechanic so he can rebuild it if need be. i think it actually ran better than my 3gee. all i have is a bit over 113000 miles. thats not much at all.

My prelude has 185k so in a year or two it will be 200k but mines a digital dash so I can't really see it roll over but its cool. My accord only has 154k

I just flipped 238000 a few days ago. Long ways for the 300k to flip.

Woa low milage!
How rarely was that car driven? My mom put over 100k on in like 3 years!

It had to have been a Grama's weekly driver. Church and the grocery store I think, garaged too, no fading!!!! Got it at the Honda dealer used. The engines got even less miles as the radiator cracked on me on a long drive and I toasted the block!! Total rebuild :-(

sold mine 3 months ago with 365k+ thought she was done for, as i could not stop the "almost a gallon of oil a day leak" and she was gettin ugly, sold her for $200 to a family members friend, he fixed the oil leak, and suspension, and tuned it up, its good for another 50k

i still see it sometimes, personaly, im glad the bit** is gone, but the buspass is no match for a running vehicle :sadwave:

ah well another accord soon to come, that is, after i start driving a differnt daily driver,.. Cough cough, freightliner

Pretty cool man, pretty cool indeed. I don't want to see my car hit 6 figures yet...I have about 6,000 miles to go. So another year and a half

its been nearly 3 years since i've had my 3gee and i've only put about 27000 miles on it. that's not too many miles in a few years i guess. i think with the right care the engine will last hundreds of thousands of miles more. i think as long as you take great care of a car it should last for a long period of time. 3gees especially. they are pretty much known for lasting a long time.

congrats on the 300k, not many cars make it that far. Cars usualy blow a motor or get totaled way before then. My dad and i was just talking about this last weekend. It's sad how poorly some people take care of there cars and still drive them hard. It's hard to find a good used car that has had normal driving and been taken care of. Back in the day (like my grampa's day) you bought a car and drove that car for years after it's payed off and appreciated it so much more. Now most people buy a car, spend as little as posible on matnence, drive it hard, and pay it off or end there lease and buy or lease a new one. I think the average life span of a vic is going to drop as years pass.

Congrats!! Great feeling watching it turn 300k, huh?

But yea, like was mentioned, mine is at 363,500 something as of right now, original motor, original tranny, and lots and lots of original parts that still work just fine. Doesn't burn or leak any oil, smooth and quiet, and runs like an absolute dream! A20's ROCK!!
