hey guys with lowered cars, where did you guys get your alignment? i pulled up to pepboys, asked one of the mechanics how much and he's like 70 and he says is that your car, and i'm like ya, he's shakes his head.. i ask him wat's wrong and he says they wont do lowered cars, but like in a hesitant kinda of way....kinda like it's not the rule of pepboys, but more like HE doesn't want to do it. more like gayboys. he can't even speak english that well.

Alot of shops won't do an alignment on a lowered car or with any suspension modifications. It's usually a shop/company policy cuz they don't want to be held liable for anything that might wear prematurely or operate improperly due to the modifications.

Although my car is not yet lowered, I do alignments myself. I also did alignments for Rooz (SiR) and Vinny. Just keep looking around, you'll find somebody that will do an alignment. Sometimes specialty shops and such

i got a toe alignment at a body shop in town. cost me 20 bucks to have the front wheels aligned for toe. Thats the only thing that can be done w/out a camber kit. Besides, bad toe will wear your tires out 100 time faster then camber will. Neg camber also helps in cornering.

werd werd, well i do understand how big chains can't take that risk tho.

and firestone has fucked up on my sister's camry. it's actually more misaligned then b4 we took it in. but i'll take my chances at a different firestone.

My opinion, don't lower your car if you can't afford a camber kit.

It's the truth, because you are going to wear your tires away, and then you won't be able to buy tires, let alone a camber kit...DOUBLE WAMMY!

I took mine to Honda. They aligned her all up no prob. As long as they can get it on the rack, they will do it. Cost about 50-60 bucks.

Check and see if you have a tire world in town. I took my car in today (I'm dropped 2.25 inches) and they had special ramps for lowered cars even with body kits to do alignments plus it was only 59.95 for all four wheeels.

Up here ther's a company that drops cars called drop zone, I'd imagine they do it. Phone your local equivalent to drop zone, if they don't do it they might be able to tell you who would.
