Very nice car. Please don't take any offense but please kill the uniwiper. If you must have a uniwiper, take off the plastic cover below the windshield and splice in an extra 3 inches of metal on the arm that extends from the wiper motor to the wiper unit so that the wiper swings the entire way back and forth and covers the entire windshield.

Looking good, like the rims and what you did to the corner lenes.
I'll like it even getter when you get it lowered:D

Steve, thanks for posting the pics.

Yeah I know, it's begging to be lowered. And I know about that uniwiper, but hey, it's been like that for 2yrs. now, and I've grown quite use to it. But now that I know how to "extend the wipe", I just might kill a few hours trying that.

What the hell are all you guys using for springs? Or are all of you putting on the Ground Controls'? I just want to go with the b&G springs, but they'll only lose 1.6" not like what you guys have. I can't go too low b/c I autocross, and can't afford to have a tire-hungry fender.

Let me know what you're runnin' for suspension.

:huh::D

to find out what most people are running, I would definitely take a look at the suspension/wheels/tires forum.. there is a wealth of knowledge regarding lowering springs and struts in there.

Well welcome to the wonderfull 3rd gen double standard. I want my car's drop to LOOK like the other guys cars. But,......I can't go that low. I know just how you feel my man:sadwave: For handling sake I'd stick to your original plans. A 1.6" drop does make you car look better. It is a compromise between what you need and what you think looks the best. I've always wanted a 2.25" drop, but couldn't begin to give up the things that come along with doing that.

The single wiper looks fine on your car. Just lower the begeezus out of it and you're kickin'. Nice job :)

Where did you get the Clear Courner lenses and what kinda lip is on that?

smufguy
08-07-2002, 04:22 AM
i guess the lip is part of the car. i am wondering the same about the clear corners. is it a trick or u made it yourself? how about a new paint job for your bumpers? and some fogs.

is the black 3g yours too? seems like ur a honda family like mine. hehehe, my uncle, me and my sis. all drive 4g, 3g and a 4g resp. :)

ok, the clears are custom made by yours truly. I may end up posting a how to on this in a few weeks, but it'll take forever to explain all the steps.

The lip spoiler is off a later model Mazda 626. (You need 1 1/2 of these to do a complete job, b/c you need to extend the center.

Fogs..... ...in time, I just can't find the right ones for the car, they'll be on as soon as I find 'em.

The black coupe, and the blue hatch.... ....those are both Steves' (88lxi68).

Anything else.... ...oh yeah, and the bumper lenses are from an Infiniti. Oops... ...oh well, they'll get over it.:D

The Uniwiper.... ...don't think it's too ricey. I mean hey, it's not chromed out, and I don't have a double bladed wiper on it either. It's just hangin out on the windshield.

how did you do the uniwiper thing

markmdz89hatch
08-07-2002, 01:15 PM
take off the drivers side wiper all together, you'll not be using that anymore.

take off the pass. wiper, and rotate it to about where mine is, tighten down the nut, hit your wiper to see the swing, now just tweak it a bit, rotate it a little more, a little less.... ...whatever.

The Uniwiper lives on.....:flip:

   uniwiper

I'm trying to get my paint job to look like that soon. if you like the uniwiper then leave it there but other than that i don't think anything is wrong with it looks wise.

Its a great clean looking car.

the front lenses are from a '90 Infiniti M30. I picked 'em up at a j/y for about $25. got everything, the lenses, housings, bulbs, and plug. Just took the entire housing out of the bumper, reached inside the bumper with a pair of wire snips and cut the wire so i could get as much x-tra wire as possible and the whole plug. took mine off, snipped the wires, and a little McGuyvering later, and tadda. They fit damn near perrrrrfecto.

A how to on the corner lenses will be posted as soon as I can get a chance to make another set, and take pictures every step of the way.

mark nice car man i was just wondering how thick was the plexi glass you told me to get, also yea that car would look hot lowered get some coilovers from www.ground-control.com and another thing, have you thought about painting the plastic pieces over the headlight white also or even take the tinit to the covers and even the tailights

markmdz89hatch
08-12-2002, 06:35 AM
tint on the covers, na, like it like it is, I am gonna try to do a kool trick with those covers though, I'll post when it gets done, but it won't be for quite a few months. Lowered, yeah I know, as soon as I get the $$. Tails: I already have something started, kinda looks like hondamans, but adding a little tint here and there. Yep, I'll post that too.

Thanks everyone for all the props they're giving. I really appreciate it. Any more suggestions, or "try this..." are more than welcome. I'll try anything on this car, b/c if it doesn't work, OH well, just get more parts and do somethin' else.
