Locating the dome light wires

I am in the process of installing a Keyless entry/ remote starter system in my Lxi Hatch. One of the options is to hook up the dome light to the system. Firstly is the dome light the light in the ceiling of the car, I am just now learning the terminology, if so where is the best place to access the wires to this light?

Yes the dome light is the light on the interior roof... if you just pop off the plastic cover there will be 2 screws...remove those and vwala you have your dome light wires.

yea but if you're installing an alarm you want to make your connections easy and tap near the brain, not run 10 feet of extra wire (unless you're really bored) :)
sorry but right now i'm not sure what color the dome light wire is, i suggest you follow the wires in the doors and check the wire colors on the dome light itself.
