ok so i got a pair of rear disk breaks from an SE-I so i started taking them appart and cleaning them it was all good and then i got to the e-brake... and well how exactly does the e-brake work cause the arm that the spring and the e-brake cable are attatched to doesn't wanna turn at all.. so is it rusted inside or something or do i have to do something b4 it will turn...???
thx :sadwave: :pc:

the cable is attached to the caliper and locked in with a pin. Then the cable is suppose to pull on it to lock the calipers up. Are you using SEi cables?

they could be stuck and if thats the case then i would suggst instead of replacing it with a new one you could use a rear caliper off of the 1989 acura legend they worked on mine with no problems. and they are easier to obtain than the original sei calipers.

Theres more leverage to move it when the cable is pulled then you will create doing it by hand. Its like the shifter arm on the 5 speed transmissions, almost impossible to pull up by hand at the tranny but easy as can be when using your foot on the clutch pedal

ok i got some calipers off of a legend but they are bigger so would i need to use legends rotors because they are bigger and will they fit on the accord hub?
