Any ideas? About 1 week ago the accord's column started to sound like crap.... like it's all dried out and sandy or something. Is there a way to lube it?

mine used to do that too. it still might, i don't know i haven't driven it in like 6 months. i think it's just dust and dirt that gets in the lip of the steering wheel where it meets the combo switch casing.

Mine does that too and I found it was the electrical contacts in the steering wheel for the cruise control were worn. The only way I could see to fix it is to replace the contacts. Lubing them did not help.

mine did that. I sprayed WD-40 in there and it never made that sound again.

My contacts are so worn that the pad on the end of the contact is gone and there is sharp metal scraping against the flat metal ring. Lube works for a few days for mine.
