1988 Ghetto-Fab Intake

I was looking to get a little better mileage out of the 4 door so I looked towards getting more air into the motor. i basically Took out the stock intake arms, rear-mounted intake box and connecting arms and replaced them with my ghetto rigged contraption.I used the intake arm from my 90 Si, cone intake from a LT1, vaccum lines from an 1982 5.0, and a healthy dose of clamps and duct tape. I will get pics up this weekend.

Anyone else try this?

Pretty much everyone with a SR or CAI had to b/c there is only 1 offered for the 3g and it is way overpriced. In fact I just intalled a <$40 ebay CAI for a 90-93 integra on my accord and if fit real easily. Just search and look in the pics section for lots of pictures of air intakes people made.

SR's are so generic, the weapon R is probably not even for the 3g just the one that fit best... nothing special about em. And definately not worth more then $20-$30.

i've done that, unless you goin all out with CAI, don't do short ram. just take the hole air box off and run one fatty carb itb. :slap:

Why not go for a short ram? Ive got an old intake off my sunfire that im not using thats a short ram. All I need is to make an adapter to the top of the carb and its almost direct fit
