Do any of you guys know a site with the best remanufactured (not rebuilt) 3gee 5 spd transmissions for our cars for the price? I'm thinking Jasper, but if you guys know a better one with top-notch work, please post links. Thanks.

Also, anyone willing to sell their 5 spd swap? Meaning, linkages, shifter, pedals, ECU, clutch cable, etc.

BTW, what's the 5 spd tranny code again?

I'd have to do some thinking on what the guys name is. The actual price was 479 plus tax and shipping. Tell them I sent you and ask if they wil honor the price. If I can think of the guys name OR find his card I'll post it up for ya

Heres the link for them.

Like I said I have had no problems with either tranny so it makes me quite happy. Last i checked their turnaround time was a little long because of the lack of transmissions. Don't forget if you dont have a core its an additional 100 or 125 I believe.

Have you checked the local u pulls?

yeah i check the local u-pulls and they are asking $350 for everything needed to do the swap. i looked around and can't seem to find a good looking tranny to boost my confidence. i think i'll see how much he wants it for without the tranny and get a remanufactured tranny. that $500 is a really good price. doesnt seem like they deal with auto trannies though. will they still take my auto tranny as a core? also, what's your last name? for all they know there could have been a million vinnys they've served before

thats odd that they are so High on prices. I went to Atlanta yesterday and they wanted 47 for the tranny itself. Its best to buy a new clutch cable as well as the clucth, Pressure plate and release bearing. I picked up my flywheel from Advance auto for 45 bucks or so. New with a lifetime warrabty so if never have to worry about having it reworked when you change the clutch again. I wouldnt think they would want much for the linkage and pedal assemble. You wont need a different ECU.

If nothing else call a feww JAX pull a parts or Tampa and see what they have to offer

BUMP for edited post up top.

P.S. the $350 is for them to pull it out instead of me. lol, i got no tools for that sort of thing. but i can remove everything else myself besides the tranny.

Removin the tranny isnt bad at all. Its quite easy. I started pulling a teg tranny at the yard yesterday and had it all done but the axles in about 15 minutes. I stppoed becuase the engine looked like it was going to fall and I didn't feel lile getting squashed. 14mm socket, a ratchet, breaker bar is about all you need for the tranny. minus the stuff to pop the lower Ball joint and tie rod end to get the axle out

Just keep jacking the engine and tranny till the axles pop out :D

i've taken one of those teg trannys out and you can't unbolt it from the mounts without unbolting the engine from all the mounts except the side one. i just put a tire under the oil pan and hoped it didn't fall. aluminum block, wouldn't hurt that bad...
