OKAY- AUTOMATIC TRANS IN 89 HONDA ACCORD A20A3 ENGINE.. ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE TRANS STAY IN FIRST GEAR LONGER ??? PROBALY JUST AN ADJUSTMENT BUT WHERE.. CHEVROLETS YOU JUST ADJUST THE MODULATOR..BUT ON A HONDA ACCORD I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START..DO I NEED DIFFERENT SHIFT SOLONOIDS OR WHAT..PLEASE HELP... :rice:

There are no solenoids , it's all a part of the TV cable... unless you open up the trans and know what to modify 6,800 is probably the best you'll get.

To sum those threads up...
1) I would lock the TV lever so it's always up and remove the TV cable and move it out of the way. You may or may not want to leave the 1 - 2mm of play in the lever... I maxed it out but that could have implications on the function of the Torque convertor lockup.
2) I would add at least one trans oil cooler and run with the fan always on... depending what kind of driving you're doing.

With those two mods your trans will still shift strong and you'll max out the rpm for every gear... only lock the TV when racing... for normal driving it's a waste.
