looking pretty good chris. Where did you get a paintjob from again? Shame no engine bay/doorjam on the car was painted.

i asked them not to paint my jambs...

i bought this paint job from maaco. had them do their shit prep job and then spent more on the paint.. stage 1 urethane or whatever it is. i'm not going to lie and argue that maaco paint jobs are good. it's obviously not a 3000$ job, but it looks much much much better than the faded green of my factory paint.

living outdoors under the arizona sun for 6 years of its life (as far as i know) was terrible for it.

hey luis,

i tried to get to monterrey during my spring break, but i only got as far as hermosillo. my good friend and i were trying to go to the copper canyon (borrancho del cobre, spelling?) but we determined it was way too much driving for one weekend.

maybe next time we'll get that far east. i'd love to, at least... and spend more time further south into the heartland of mexico -- somewhere where there aren't so many americans and signs in english :)

Hermosillo its almost in the middle to Monterrey, i dont know we have a canyon here, but if you're looking for extreme adventures we're the "mountain city" the rigth place. we have some nice places here at monterrey too.

center mexico is nice and quiet too something colonial.

bluebead --

most of the work i've done on my car has been due to how-to's written from this site! if you're curious about the cai, there's a link to a del sol site with the JC whitney part number etc for how to make it. the exhaust was just press-bent from a local shop. the cam can be installed by any idiot (this much i've proven), and it is super easy to readjust the valves.

3geez.com has all the information you would need for the simple things i've done to my machine

luis --

copper canyon is HUGE ... it's in sonora, southeast of hermosillo. it's off the free-way, and after driving on the mexican highways, i was afraid of how long it would take to get there.
