Just picked this sub up 2 weeks ago. Now that it's broken in I can say without a doubt, this is the best SQ sub I've heard to date, and it pretty loud too. I've got a single 12" matched to a directed 750d running 600w at 1 ohm and its in a ported box built to diamonds specs. Haven't had a chance to meter the SPL yet but its about as loud as my 2 diamond cm3's. But the big selling point is how clear the bass is. It actually sounds cleaner than my home theater sub. Its a little on the pricey side, but I got a deal on it cuz my buddy owns a car audio shop.

another diamond fan :)

thats good to see lol, i have 2 cm3's (not installed yet though) and my cousin runs 2 cm3's through a 600.1 d5 amp, hits a 148 in a custom box (pictures on his cardomain site, www.cardomain.com/id/grandwj) which is what inspired me to get diamonds lol.

Keep us updated

I don't think DEI makes it because most of the audio places around here are DEI dealers and i have never seen diamond sold at any of them.

DEI makes directed and extreme(and i think they do python alarms too). Diamond is a seperate company.

diamond is its own company, to answer snow mans question... i dont know the prices on the new ones (the D series) since they just re-designed EVERYTHING, but the old prices were around here:

CM3 (Lowest Line)
10" - $99 - 250w
12" - $160 - 300w
15" - $210 - 350w

M6 (Mid Line)
10" - $135 - 350w
12" - $190 - 450w
15" - N/A (No Diamond M6 15" Sub made)

TDX (High Line)
10" - $275 - 550w
12" - $335 - 700w
15" - $400 - 900w

all 12" subs were dual voice coil i believe, some of this info may be a little off but its fairly accurate, and all the prices might of gone up/down since diamond no longer makes any of those 3 model lines.

I've had one 12" cm3 with memphis mono amp for about a year and I've got to say that the cm3 is one of the cleanest sounding subs I've ever heard and there's never been a problem with it. You can pound the crap out of these things and they'll still deliver crisp and clean bass at the high volumes. Put some dynamat on the trunk lid and behind the license plate and it'll sound even better
