I went to a local honda tech meet and there was a 4g accord coupe with an F23 V-Tec motor, that car was pretty quick.

And I got to thinking about the 3g but I realized that this would probably require the same mounts as an H22, but I very-well could be wrong.

So my question is would the F23 require the same mounts as the H22?

the F23 is a little smaller being that its an SOHC so I ddint know if that would help in the swap process.

the F series motors use the same mold as the H22's so you'd have the same problems as you would with the H. The F23's came out of the 6th gen Accords.

and i don't think the f23 is that much cheaper than the h22. you could probably get an H22 in there for the same price and have a much better motor.

well, nobody usually wants the F motors, so you can pick up a swap for less then half that of an H22. The thing about the earlier F series motors is they are more boost happy in stock form then H22's are due to their better sleeves.

and the h22 has serious oiling problems when you boost them. they start to smoke and chew up rings like the 3G prelude's b21a1. the h23 is the DOHC version of the F23 and could be had for pretty cheap, too.

how much are F23 setups going for these days? engine/tranny/ecu/harness/shifter

H-motors online can get them for pretty cheap i think. you'll have to email them because they dont list them on their site.
