how much it costs depends on where you are and what the prices are.

There are write ups on how to do a auto to manual conversion. just use the search.

mine wasnt terrible, paying a shop to do it would be aweful, they will charge you our the a$$, but DIY and you will have it done for a fraction of the cost...
my tranny, linkage, pedal assembly = $225
flywheel was not expensive (bought from Vinny)
ACT clutch and PP for like $2xx
i think i remember it being about $500 total for parts and extra tools needed.
There are plenty of threads on this in addition to the how-to, so please search the site, and keep searching under different terms until you feel you know everything you need to.

yah, i did mine, it was very straightforward. i bought a parts car for the engine, and my current daily driver, the auto went out, so i pulled all the parts off the parts car. i got the car for $250. it's pretty straightforward, and plan on a full weekend of work, especially if you've never pulled a tranny before.

Time consuming, not hard, actually really fun. I spent about 350 total. I changed all mounts and took me a whole weekend. Look in the how to and hit me up if you have any questions. I have pictures on my cardomain too.

I called mine "my best friend" or "the savior"
i.e. "hand me my best friend." or "where's the savior?"
