Ok so ive had this buzzing or fast clicking noise under my hood and ive done some research. I think my air suction valve is the problem. What can I do about this? do i need to replace it or is there some quick fix i can do? I wish I could remove all my vacuum lines but im in CA :uh: It could be a little noise from my valves but i think most is from the AS valve. Thanks.

air suction valve? do you mean the PCV valve? they're like 2 bucks to replace...

I dunno what its called but here its Air Suction Valve, and it seems to be making quite a noise.

The air suction valve is not the same thing as the PCV valve. The AS valve controls the injection of fresh air into the exhaust manifold. You can simply disable it by removing the vacuum hose hooked up to it. Make sure you plug the hose. A new valve is very expensive, so it would be best to find a good working one at a junk yard. Hope this helps.

P.S.: My AS valve has been disconnected for about 2 years with no ill effects.

Is this supposed to always be quiet? I get a buzzing noise from under the hood sometimes. I thought it was normal. :dunno:

The valve operates under 3,600 rpm to add vacuum as well as support emisssions. Our car has too many vacuum operated valves and such to run smoothly on manifold vacuum alone. As for being quiet... you may hear some noise... but there is a silencer (plastic tube) that is installed between the box just off of the valve and the airfilter box.
