Anyways I was browsing around about HID's and I came about this.

Turns out the creator of that thread, I WENT TO MIDDLE SCHOOL WITH HIM!!
anyways, I gotta hit him up on creating a retrofit for me.

I'll have to dig up that phone book from the bottom and get a hold of him.

dude, hes rocking a Delorean, thats pimp. even though they weren't the best performance cars, they are unique. i can see something like that being possible on a 3g w/ a little work. i'd recommend you get some from the junk yard to try it out on though.

can you say cosco shoper, holy crap that alot of junk food.

I like it, small ass apartment (kitchen/living room), hardly any furniture (futon and a case of coke), and sporting a dmc. very nice.

Looks too deep to fit on our cars. It may just be the pics but if the rear part of the housing extends back as fas as it looks all bets are off. Easier just to buy the projectors like I have and convert to HID or do like Rob did with his audi setup

I agree with Vinny, those look way to long unless you plan on leaving your lights up all the time. Even then it may not clear the back.

Well, It was just an example of what he was doing in terms of retrofitting. He does all sorts of housings for other cars. He is a known member on Hidplanet to retrofit for other members for a price of course.

here are a few threads

Check the thread that Josh had started on HID's and see what Rob had to say. He even has pics of his in there somewhere

That would be awesome to do, although im curious how HID would look in just a normal h4 conversion housing

you asked, you got it.

Seems to be a common problem with the H4 adapters giving really bad cutoff lines and putting out too much glare.

searched around and this might prove itself useful..

some threads that were previously made by Rob about retrofitting HID projectors..

I am also worried about depth issues. I will give my friend a call and check out if it is even possible with any type of projector because of our depth issue.

edit:

after more research, I've been curious on what I can do.

These are the casper shields they are talking about.

Couple possible issues of either HID setup:
Water leaks due to flipdown headlights
ballast placement

more research! :D

If you have a good h4 conversion it should seal up well... thats a good point about the ballasts though, where would you put those.

I actually just got an offer for some Hella H4 housings and HID's... sooo tempting.,

I was figuring out reflective HID setup.

Hella Gen3 Ballast and Philips D2R bulbs = $279.99 from Hidtech.com
Hella 200m ECE H4 Housings = $80
Casper Electronics H4 Adapters = $50
Custom H4 wiring harness = ??

As you can see, it will cost a pretty penny for the HID setup. Looks like I gotta save up while I continue to look around.
