Ok, since some of you have been so hasty and ancy, i deceded to make the thread now rather than later.

Here we go kids,
*EDIT* It will be on the 25th of june. The exact time will be decided later after we see what times are going to be most convient as a whole.

Place: Majorty rule; best buy /*EDIT*

My first choice would be at the Best Buy in Fullerton. They have a really cool pizza place right next to it (we can get fat deals if we order alot of pizza), and just about every thursday they have a car show for old cars there, so there use to seeing large groups of cars showing up.(just yesterday there was a random PT crusier meet there) We would not have a problem with cops there, and all the buisness will be cool with it. The lot where they have the shows at is normally empty (no problem lining them up for shots)

My second choice would be the beach. Possible hunington, or somewhere else farther north. The problem with this is that we are going to have to pay for parking, we have to mess with organizing who is bringing what food wise. We will definatly have trouble parking right next to each other. The cool thing about the beach is that, its the beach. Football, smores, im sure we can tie some pallads onto one of our cars (probably adams haha) for a fatty pit fire. That is, if everyone wants to stay that late cause some of you will have to drive a good two hours just to get home(theres pretty much no avoiding this where ever we end up)

*buuuuuuzzzzz* i say we go to jackson racing and dyno. i already talked to mark today over at jackson racing and he says 40 bucks for 2 runs. and if you want to tune your car. you can talk to him about it. i dont know how good of a tuner he is and honestly i wouldnt let him tune my car. but that's up to you guys. anyhow, coincidently abraham (cheeseburger) called me just awhile ago when i got home from jackson racing. i was going to post this up tonight too but i think 3geez was down earlier. anyhow, i have 7 cars ready to do the dyno test. this will be a TEST DAY meet. i know for a fact that josh may have a few friends also who would like to test dyno. most likely the dyno will take up most of the day. let me know what all of you think and who can make it and who wont. hence i said who can make it and WHO WONT and not WHO CANT. so lets get this dyno meet going. it's going to happen. it's a go, i've set the date to may 14th on a saturday. we can meet up first and then go to the jackson racing shop. lates

i'm not sure if i'd be able to make the dyno, but can try to get out of work. where is jackson racing located. unfortunately my friend's '00 Si coupe was broken into and they took everything, even his Vtec controller, so his civic is down. i'd really still like to meet in late June though.

90-93 teg cai cut to fit are cars with k & n filter

carbon fiber hood, minor scratches, a couple of the holes for it to bolt up to need to be fixed somehow. Probbaly with epoxy and re-tapping the holes? The metal sleeves want to twist when you put the bolts in it. But other then that its fine.

I got other stuff too just let me check out what else i got.

I'm all ready for the meet on the 25th of next month! My car's in my posession and stuff.. Though the only special thing about my car is probably my alarm, tint, and stereo system.

I think i'm barely at the state limit with the window tint.

the hood really isn't that big. It can actually fit in the back of a hatch if you fold down the seats.

hey is any one interested in getting a carbon fiber hood because blownoffvalve has some and i am going to get one but it's kinda hard for me to get down ware he is to get it. he wants to know if there is any one alse interseted cuz he needs to test fit at least 2 more to make sure the consistancy is good. if any one wants to actually get one he will go to the meet and bring 3 or 4 of them to test fit on our cars. if they fit good you can buy it on the spot for $300. they are brand new, grade a quality. let me know if you want to get one so i can let him know to come.

Just so you all know. I will have my carbon fiber hood for sale too for 150$ The only problem with mine is a couple minor scratches and that a couple of the sleeves where the bolts screw into want to spin with the bolts. You can fix this with some epoxy or something else of that nature.

its the center arm rest and it looks like its leather, but i could be wrong.

since this looks like its turning into a for sale thread, i have an auto tranny that's mostly junk, a torque converter, valve cover, combo switch (without rear wiper), stock heat shielding, stock muffler, and maybe some other random stuff. let me know if anyone wants anything!

hopefully i can get my car back to gether by then. i had take just about everything off to try and pass that damn smog test. I failed it once(gross polluter), but then realized why it was spitting out sooo much gas: my Venom fuel injectors and the B&M FPR. so i swapped the originals back, and i'm gonna try again on friday. hopefully that does it. everything else is fine, just too much gas. so if it passes i'll swap the performance stuff back on, then it will be on for saturday.

kevin, would you mind picking up some nuts and screws for me? I need 3 or 4 of the nuts and spacer things that keep the header on. If you could get the screws that keep the black plastic cover around the combo switch (turn signals/wipers) for me that would be awesome. I took mine off and i can't find them. :mad: If you could also get the little white plastic insert that the screws go into to hold the plastic moulding on for the shifter that would also be awesome. if you were willing to get those for free (bottom of the tool box) that would be even sweeter. :cool: damn, it looks like i need a lot of parts, lol. thanks!

Oh, also, if anyone has a spare set of 6 1/2 inch speakers that will fit in the front doors of an 88 LX, and can donate them to me, i would REALLY appreciate it! I have some nice 6 1/2's in the back, but due to unemployment i can't really afford new ones for the front..

The ones in the rear are 150watt JVC's i believe... Or maybe they're pioneer. I dunno.

ian, i got you the screws that hold the box that goes around the steering wheel, but i didnt get anything else. I got myself a new steering wheel and a couple of other msc small things i needed. Cory got a pair of miss-matched speakers, but one was blown(a blapunk). However, he was able to get one working well and it was a clarion. No pics, those'll come all tomorow~!!!

Oh i called david (slowasscarb) and he said he was probably not going to make it but was going to try his hardest to.

I cant freakin wait, its going to be awesome.

I put some slrightly longer then the original bolts in it today to make sure the threads were all good and they seem to be fine. We can stick it on your car tommrow if you want and try it out to see if everything is good. Its just been sitting in my grage for the past few months. I cleaned it up alittle and it looks really good. There are a few scratches but you should be able buff them almost completly out. It has a clear coat on it so you can treat it like the rest of your car.

Well the meet was fun guys! Can't wait to have another one.. I was talking with kevin about maybe setting one up later this summer, perhaps around a junk yard of sorts so we can scrounge around, and then come out and do whatever else there is to do..

It sucks that i had to leave early though! There were a few people who i wasnt able to meet, but looked like they had some sweet cars. All in all it was fun, but so far, i dont think anyone has taken pictures of my car. :(

Plus there going to be closing soon and i guess tear it down to build a new one some where else and there is gonna be alot of down time. So the sooner the better! yea, Its a drag strip. Its 15$ to race all night. 5$ to get in per person. Racing from 5.30pm to 10.30pm Here is a website if anyone is interested. www.lacr.net There are alot of good places if someone wasnts to meet up around here and then go to the drag strip or whatever. Just let me know, and i will find a good spot!

You wont get embarassed. There isnt many people that watch. Basically most people that go just say whatever ill race just for the fun of it. So there are alot of really slow people there too. And i mean 20 second slow.

Yea ian, they wont let you run unless you have a battery cut off switch somewhere on the outside of the back of your car.

They wont care there. The only things they check and i mean ONLY THINGS, are they make sure your battery is tied down tightly and that you have a coolant catch tank. They may say they check other things but they dont!
