Ok a bit of a problem. I have to change the ignitor on my distributor but I want to make sure which distributor it is. There is Hitachi and Tech...

How would you tell the difference between the two???

A quick answer would be apreciated, I have to fix it fast.

Maybe I will be a bit more specific.

Ok I have an EFI engine and basically I was wondering what distributor the EFI engines use. So is it Hitachi or Tech or niether???

Thanx

the hitachi igniters are internall and the tech are external i think...

the techs igniter are on the top of the distributor secured by 2 screws..its a 2x3 inch or so flat metal thing ontop...

take a look at what coil you have,..itll say on there what kind it is and i think that they normally match the distributor...
take a look at the distributor and see if you can spot the igniter on top or not..
