I know you guys are all about the Konis, but some of us can't afford them, or are too impatient to wait for a "group buy" that sonds like it will never happen now.
But anyway, I figured I would get the Tokiko Hp Blues and use them, they look nice, came with bumpstops to prevent bottoming. So I'm happy. Hopfully I can install them next week.
They will definately be better than stock.

ought to take some pix as you're installing them and afterwards. i'm going to have to make a decision on my suspension parts when i get around to that mod. i'm probley going to go ahead and get the SE-i rear suspension with disk brakes when i get the new springs. i think i will get it done in one sweep. i'll get the front and rear sway bars too if i can.

Good deal. I seen them Tokicos coming down on the price off e-bay. I'm not sure if the Koni group buy is actually going to go through by looking at one of the last post. Anyway, let us know how stiff they are, or boucy. For the price, can't beat it. Might need to get alighnment afterwards , pulling some of the front suspension out and all.

Will you be staying with the stock springs or going with something stiffer?

I am running Spring Tech drop springs on stock replacement stuts right now.

Or better yet, what are you doing with your old struts?? I have one thats broken that should have been replaced a WHILE ago.

I don't think I'm doing anything with my old struts. Rears are blown though.
The set of four Tokikos are only $230 shipped on e-bay. :)

i was thinkin' of some KYB strut assemblies. konis would be nice though. i was also going to try doing a front and rear strut brace bar. probley after i do the new intake so the front will fit.

My fronts are the KYB GR2. I'll make you a good deal if you want them, and if they are still o.k.
Been in for about 6 months I think.

Just installed them, I think they ride nice so far. They feel firm, not bouncy at all.
Question though, will they settle in a bit? Seems to be a bit taller now. And yes...I did check to make sure the springs were seated properly. :)

Are you running stock springs, or aftermaket?

the thing I like about the Tokicos (I just have the rears) is that they came with all new bushings, collars and washers and yes... the bumpstop!

...

unlike the Koni fronts I have: generic and vague instructions for installing what I assume to be a bumpstop and some other plastic washer.

Springtech 2.5 drop front, 2.25 drop rear.
And I think the reason why it's taller is because of the new bushings. And yes, I do really like them, still.

Pinch the forks in the front to get a lower drop. Looks like you can grind the strut tower down or cut it off with a torch.

I should be getting a parts car this weekend, so I am going to do the pinch fork mod.
