interesting.. i know some models of civics and accords have their emblems in gold to represent the "special edition"... but you said LXi badges, so i'm confused! nice find, at any rate.

I've seen these on an Lx-i around here. The car was maroon, the badges were all gold, and it also had a "Special Edition" badge. Some of the trim was different too.

The gold embelems were an accessory kit sold by Honda. They still offer it for the current models as far as I know.

yep, gold emblems were an accessory and still are. its been a long time since i've seen the gold emblems on a 3gee, but i do remember them. i especially remember the H's in gold.

i think the gold emblems look best on dark colored 3gees, like black, red/maroon, blue, tuscany taupe and the SE-i darker grey, also green that they came in. on my car which is champagne beige or gold it dosnt look good to me. i know you can get the emblems plated, i think someone i know does that along with powder coating and stuff.

This could be home plated too, i remember an Ad on Lowrider Magazine selling Gold Plating Kits, theres a woman on the ad goldplating a rear emblem on a Toyota.

Here is some Plating kits:

It isn't a crime. I just voiced out my opinion and say I don't approve. :)

Always going to have negatives from someone when you mod a car. Don't take the criticism too seriously. Enjoy it.

I've seen bits of your car when you posted the twinloop installed pics. That blue IMO, would look weird with gold. I never was a fan of gold. Silver + black emblems always found a place in my heart, but not gold.

How would you assume that I "like bling", whatever your definition of "bling" is because of a screen alias? Profiling I assume.
But go ahead man gold it up. :idea:And while you're at it...get a 1" thick gold rope chain to match.

I'm not really a fan of gold on cars either, but hey let's see what it looks like once they're on.
