Hey you guys. I tried to install my flip flop hood today but, lets just say that it didn't turn out like expected. When I open the trunk the hood flops to much (look at the pictures to understand) also I cannot close my trunk hardly at all. I'm not quite sure what I did wrong so hopefully the pictures that I took will help explain my problem better then words can. :violin:

from what I have read, everyone else put the hinges on the other side of the lifters, it looks like your setup is all backwards. But, thats just from what I have read, I haven't actually tried it.

The way you have it, the trunk cant sit flat when up because all of the wieght of our lids is on the taillights. if the hinges were mounted on the other side, the weight cant pull the lid any further than flat.

Oh k Thanks. So you are saying that in this one http://www.geocities.com/w00tw00t111/dscn1634.jpg the hinge needs to be turned around so that the screw taht goes into the square tubing is on the opposite side? Thanks

the links arent working right now, but look here http://3geez.com/showthread.php?t=43890 scroll down to the close up pics of his set-up. The first pic shows what I am saying, the hinge is on the back side of the 'bar'. the second picture is from the reverse angle (standing at teh back of the car and facing forward)
