Well the work is starting to pay-off at least its back on four wheels and there's an engine in it (not running yet, but getting there). Well she looks kinda blind and faceless. Let's see if you Photoshop wizards can give er' a new mug and some occular implants! Maybe little pop-ups, or some mad projectors! Try a front bumper/spoiler too if you like. Give it a shot and then I'll post the real stuff next week.

i suck at photoshop... but i say, take the front end off that 3g in the background :P

Some ideas some good photoshoppers might want to try

JDM 4th gen teg front end, or maybe even 2nd gen USDM teg. EK (i believe) civic front? i think headlights that wrap around the corners would look good on our cars, kind of like the Euro accords, only narrow and sleak.

That bumper isnt scaled right, or so it appears.

I think a front end like whats on the white Spoon integra in GT4 would rock.

That's nice too, but it doesn't fit the lines of my car. All the 90's and newer styles of aerokits and bumpers are too rounded for my car. I was thinking more conservative like one on the 83' Civic 1500 from GT4. Except for the rear styling and headlights it could be a dead ringer for my car anyway.

Keep up the good work. Too bad all of the front ends that you guys have used aren't as easy to modify for real. The front end of my car is more narrow than even your 3gees. I believe its 3 inches narrower from wheel to wheel. I'll have sometime tomorrow to actually put my front end back together. After I take some pics I'd like your advice on how I should detail and finish the front. I'm planning on stealing some pieces of Prelude to put into the car too, 2nd Gen Lude seats most def! I think I'm going with an 83' Accord gauge cluster, they're less crowded than the 84-85s, and it would be a direct drop in. I wanted to go with an 88 civic or 3gee Accord cluster but the mod work isn't worth the effort.

Hmm WCC doesn't have a time limit on how long to do their cars, do they? Unlike Overhaulin' where they have to do it all within a week. I think Pimp My Ride is all cutscenes put together. Probably takes them long to do a car cus they have a shop to run and other high-paying clients to satisfy. I think that's why you only see like 3 or 4 episodes in one season being re-run over and over.

I would have to agree with you on that one. For a show made by MTV, the quality is not that good and I have read many palces that the MTV people "prepare" the car for the show. Most of the cars are not as bad of condition as they appear on the show. The guy with the 240 said they came to his house and jacked with the bumpr and pulled alot of the wireing in the car to make it hang down. All in all I think they did a good job with the concept of the show, but they should make one that is a little more performance orianted. Like have crappy cars brought to a shop and see how much power or what performance mods they can do to it.

P.S. Sorry to get off topic so much :uh:

ICEMAN707
06-05-2005, 12:25 PM
Yeah like that black eclipse was too busted to be someone's daily driver. No one in their right mind would allow themselves to drive the car like that. I thought it was the owners themselves busting up their cars after MTV called them up and said their car is gonna be on the show. Or people picking up their rusty grandparent's cars or cars from the junk yard.

Anyways, back to the topic. Someone do a CRX front end on that 2gee with the Wings West bodykit front.

Alright fellas. Nice work on those photoshop shots! I saw some good and somenot-so-good but here's the real deal. This is the first time that I've remounted the bumper since the car died. It's not totally squared up but this it the custom bumper I bought NOS for my 84' Let me know what you think.

Also try and fill in the eyes if you're so inclined. I wanted to see what it would look like with projectors or some bad-ass rally clusters. I'm probably gonna keep the front black when I paint the car. I was planning on a two-tone paint job: british racing green (or sonic blue) top with black or graphite spray-on bed liner around the bottom below the trim line.

Oh yes I'm aware of how Euro-rally wannabe the front looks with that Euro plate...but its staying as long as it will pass as street legal (it's very reflective as you can see from my flash) It's a pre-EU issue plate from Holland circa 2000.

Yeah I'm diggin' it. I need to fab up some side skirts to go with it. I'll look into modifying a CRX tail too. I bought it on special...I think it was $99 with S&H. Its a custom fit made of heavy ass ABS plastic. It had a few dings in it when it came but it was NOS straight from Germany. I got Louvers for the back to boot! I'll post more pics when I get the damn thing rollin' again.

Yeah I need to drop that bi-otch some more too. Once I get to the west coast I'm gonna set it up for Rally with better ground clearance. Its got Koni adjustables on all four corners, coilovers in the back and cut high tension springs up front (I'll probably make some kind of custom coilover set-up).

What, you mean Legend Master's Bumper pic? Yeah I need to repost another pic the light was bad when I took the last two...I was in hurry and the mosquitoes were knawing at my flesh...damn Florida, damn you!

I wish my ride was closer to being completed. I need to finish the front end up and get moving on the interior.

Yeah that is a tight Legend. They guy who comes in out of the shop where I have my car has one, same color too. Its a nice size Legend before they evolved into Lux-o-boats.

Thanks I had it for 5 years before I sold it so I could buy the Accord. I swaped my auto out for a 5 speed and that car was pretty damn quick for the size. It would beat my friend LS powered civic Coupe with no problem and all I had done was a chip, intake, and exhaust on an 88 V6 with 176,000 miles  . If someone was to successfully swap that v6 into a hatch or coupe it would be mighty fast. As for the bumper I think the car is wider then the Accord, but I am not sure.
