Ive been looking around on the net, and looking for local shops that would sell the flatback, 5spoke spoon style (or actual spoon) 16" rims. So far i have only found one set a guy was selling on ebay for $2200 and they were authentic spoon rims, but i still thought that was a little high. So i thought id post here and see where some of you found yours or if you have any ideas/suggestions as to where i can find myself a set.

If you're looking for knockoffs, Rota seems to do a lot of business. I've seen a few sets floating around some local forums for aroundd $400-500 with tires. Maybe check ebay (though shipping may be high).

Tried ebay, i found 1 set and they werent quite what i was looking for. Thanks for the heads up though, do you have links to the forums where they are being sold?
Knock offs work for me, Rota seems to be pretty good from what ive seen, and i like the style of some of their other rims.

Well, the local guys here probably don't want to ship to Colorado, but the classified section ('parts for sale') at www.nwstreetracing.com usually has some pretty good wheel/tire deals. I found my wheels on my 3g from that forum (5 wheels/6 tires for $325).

the GT3's look really nice on your car, and i really like them, but i think it helps that your car is gray. Really makes them pop, i dont think they would look as good on a maroon coupe like mine.
Now im torn beteween the Circut 8's

Nippons (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43955&item=7978130406&rd=1) are the way to go. They are cheap and have all the same attributes as the slipstreams. They only weigh about 11LB a rim for the 15's.
I know, I know: Knockoff of a knockoff :uh:

My friend has them on his civic and they look great. Funnniest thing about them is that they come with spoom sport stickers :rice: .

slipstreams weigh in at 11lbs too for a 15inch wheel.
Rota is a good knockoff brand. I wonder how nippon is.

Yea, thats true... i found this site, some pretty good deals on some pretty rare rims IMO
http://www.passwordjdm.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=20&P_ID=750&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=76 really caught my eye lol, im not much for them but i remember some people saying they wanted them from that Mugen ad posted here somewhere.
id really like some wantanabe rims, but im not about to pay the price they are worth
http://www.passwordjdm.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=39&P_ID=721&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=76
Im hoping they update that site fairly often with new rims and such from japan, and shipping isnt too bad... surprisingly enough.
