Hey guys I installed my subs and FG box the other day. I don't know how I lived with out it all these months! I love it! It's 2 500w Audiobahn 12 inchers with a 1000watt Pyramid amp. I was really worried about the amp b/c it was like 78 + shipping and I had heard from severaly people that they overheat really easily. Well I live in Houston which is really really hot and it hasn't overheated once even with over 2 hours of continous playing. The subs hit really really hard sometimes overpowering hence the reason that I always have to adjust my EQ in my HU. The amp was a great buy and would suggest it to anyone especially if you don't have a bunch of money. Like me! ;)

The coolest thing about it is that when I open up my trunk and my friends see it they're like "Wow!" B/c they always make fun of me with my "two-tone" paint job (the body kit is baby blue while the car is scratched up white) but then when they see the FG box and the inverse mounted subs showing off the Audiobahn flames they're satisified. It's great!

I'll try to get pics posted as soon as possible!

Give the amp about a month before you say how good it is. Ive had stuff from similar companies, and all i can say is :barf:. Im happy you are happy with the setup, hope it lasts for a long time. Cant wait to see pics. What kind of box did you use?

All you have to do is add some cooling fans...low profile type.

Yeah that's what I was figuring if it started OH.

88accordalltheway- I made my own custom Fiber Glass sub box. I hate using the word box b/c it is by no means boxy there are hardly and straight edges on it at all. I'll try to get pics up soon!

Hey guys. Sorry about the double post but here are the pics. Remember that it's not completley done. Just primered and thrown in there! The wires I'm going to feed through painted copper tubing that is shaped to go to the sides.

Well whatever works, I wouldnt trust an amp that cheap. Hell I paid 300 for my 200w amp.

Yeah I know what you mean. I had my doubts too but, I guess it's like $100 that could be a waste but, you never know until you try. Right?

I have a 4 Channel 1200w American Legacy for about 4 years now and has been in 3 cars. I love this thing. I paid about $150.00 for it. I currently runs my 2 Audiobahns. 700 watts RMS each. They pound hard.

And how much of what you paid was for the name brand? There are a lot of amps with really good circuitry but get dissed on because there unknown name brand....don't hate! lol

That box looks really good...just finish the details and add paint. I really like the idea of hiding the wires, makes for a really good clean install. Please tell me you added a crossover...or atleast that the amp has a crossover!

Yeah the amp has a built in cross over. Thanks for the comp. on the box. Took a long long time but, glad I finally finished it!

If I had to guess, that Pyramid amp (American Legacy too) is probably putting out half the "1000 watts" RMS, so (even though you haven't mentioned the resistance of the subs) you would be putting 250 watts RMS to each, which is still respectable. Did you build the 'glass box with one large air space within it, or did you do two separate ones?

Also, if you're paying $300 for a 200 watt RMS amp, you are getting ripped off, unless it's a McIntosh or Tube Driver Blue amp, and even then I'd say you're getting ripped off :D. Power has reached the point that it is ridiculously cheap nowadays. Amps make almost zero impact on the sound of a system, beyond providing power, so unless you're some sort of snob (not aiming that at anyone in particular) then you're best off getting some good bang for the buck.
