Congrats Iceman,

You beat some very worthy challengers. Nice suspension/brake upgrades! Looking forward to you engine upgrade. Just goes to show, you don't need to drop in a new engine to win AOM.

I like your approach, brakes and suspension, then the engine upgrade. Better to control the power with brakes and handling.

Peace.

Thanks so much for everyone who voted for me. I really appreciate all the info you guys have given me and your respect and admiration for my work. And without all of you at 3geez, I wouldn't know where to look for parts for this car. Although most of the parts are rare, I managed to find all that I need. My next upgrade will be the engine. I'm gonna attempt a truly one-off custom B-series swap because I believe that area of 3geez performance is still shady information. With ready-to-buy swap kits from the late Placeracing no longer available, it seems more of us are no longer leaning towards a B-series swap. I will show you guys that it IS feasable doing it yourself if you put your mind to it. Halfway through the swap while the engine is out, I will have the car painted finally that way the engine bay gets painted too. So it would be awhile till my next project will be done, but it will get there. Thanks again for all your votes! Be on the lookout for my next upgrade!

Congrats! As The Watcher said you beat very worthy opponents. Can't wait to hear about the engine swap. Keep the white and black color scheme though I love it!

yeah man, i think that's one of the best color schemes i've seen. i'm not generally a fan of white cars either, but that one really looks good. is the interior matching as well?

Not really. I'm thinking of painting the interior after I fiberglass the whole thing the same pearl white color with black trim. But here's my interior for now, minus the stock steering wheel, I have a MOMO steering wheel now:

Eventually my interior will look something like this. It just looks so much more refined and cleaner:

Yes, unfortunately. But it's not that bad. It gets me by on a daily basis. I'm gonna do a 5spd swap then engine swap soon anyways.

Congrats. Very nice looking custom mods. I'm personally a bit more conservative with my body styling, but you've got taste in mods most def! I like your work, I'd like to have a mini meet up in Orlando before I head west! Do you do all your own body work or do you have hook ups at a shop? Mad props 3g!

ICEMAN707
06-03-2005, 11:07 PM
No, the work is all me. I wish I had the hookups. Would make things alot faster and cheaper.

Man nice job man. You have a real talent in custom work. I think your car was long over due for AOM, but I'm glad to see you finally made it. Congrats.

Hey man, congrats. I knew I nominated the right guy for this. This is for all of your hard work towards your car and I believe that you definitely deserve this. Congrats again man.

Thanks MIk3 for being the first to nominate me. It's earlier than I expect since my car isn't 100% complete yet, It shows how much you guys appreciate my work so far. That means alot and thanks. 3geez is the best car forum, hands down.

did you swap out the dash lights? looks like the AC controls are glowing red. then again, i can't really make out whether the settings are all on "heat" so they would be naturally glowing orange.

congratulations on that AOM victory, you've obviously put serious effort into your car.

Normally the air recirculation (REC) and front windshield defogger buttons have red bulbs in them. All the rest are green. All the bulbs could be interchanged though. Although I haven't seen them in any other color besides red or green. Maybe VW blue bulbs would work? I dunno if they are exactly the same as Honda's. They are teeny tiny bulbs.

i've gotta take the time out man to give you props. you deserve it. i remember you teasing with the sh!tty camera phone pics. And then you came with those nice pics. Even though you are still in process of mods, the car is one of a kind now, eyecatching, and AOM material.
peace.

I thought they were LED's. if they are you could buy some at like radioshack and put them in. maybe i'm wrong. the car looks really nice though. way to represent for the 3geez community!

Congrats iceman... im usually not a huge fan of bodykits and whatnot when they are so extreme, but yours came out really well, everything fits well too..

I really like the widened fenders... Im amazed you did it all yourself too...

Have you entered the car in any shows yet?

nope not yet. i would say there's about 45% work left to do on the car before it's ready for shows. i thought i would get it done this summer but looks like im gonna have to wait cus i have to move out of my apartment to another and find another roommate as well. right now the engine bay is stripped and cleaned to get ready for my project b-series swap. i'm also doing all the necessary changes to make it 5 spd as well. like the instrument cluster, pedals, cable linkages, shifter, shift & torque rods, some wiring to convert it to OBD1 b-series. meanwhile i'm driving a 99 chevy cavalier z24 convertible. anyways, looks like it will be awhile again before i post pics. but i guarantee the next mods i'll be doing to the 3gee might be AOM material again :D

What happened to your other accord?... sei coupe was it not?

Remember last year here in FL we got bombarded by like 5 hurricanes in a row? Well, sadly my SE-i was one of its victims. Our 60 yr old oak tree in front of our house at that time toppled over and crushed my car. But before the car got towed off to the junkyard, I removed all the good SE-i parts and are now on my LX-i. I could've gotten the engine and tranny too cus that one was better running, but I was pressed for time. Oh well. Insurance and FEMA paid me more than enough for what I paid for that car plus I have all the good parts.
