Urgent: New problems after putting the carb back together

Idle in Park is 3k. When I come to a stop the RRMs will drop to 1.5 suddenly pull to 2 and I will feel jerk on the car. Here is the major problem the car doesnt want to shut off. When I turn the car off it sputters over and over non stop......

The sputter over and over is dieseling, it happens when you turn the car off above 2250rpm or so. If its a standard, to stop it while it doing that, put it in 4th/5th and let the clutch out.

When you put the carb back together were you careful to make sure everything got adjusted properly? I would check your idle diaphram

Readjust the idle, make sure the throttle cable isn't too tight, and check for vacuum leaks.

Ok so I went out adjusted the cable and the idle was good and the car shut of fine. I started and stopped it multiple times just to double check. So I turned the car off to put the aix box back on. Now the car wont start. I checked all the connections. I mean really wtf can go wrong by putting the air box back on.....
