recalled bull

I just recently bought a 87 3dr lxi for 500$ and it looks pretty beat but it still runs nice after the 234350 miles.
i am A20A3's little brother and 3geez intrest me. One thing that bothers me is the recals on the 3rd generation accord. My gas filler neck was rusted when i bought it and i was shocked to see that it had already been replaced. But its still rusted badness. Do the recaled gas filler necks rust after a few years? :sadwave:

Do you know where the work was done? or have access to documentation of the work and whatnot. Cause if Honda is throwing BS your way you might want to go back and try again.

My neck has been fine for the 6-7 or so years I've had the car but I have an 89.

weird. mine wasn't ever replaced and mine still looks new.

anybody know what causes the rusting?

crappy metal or the gas cap isn't sealing.
