go to the honda dealership, tell them you need a passenger side axle seal for the tranny. Never use aftermarket seals in a honda. The seal is about $10-$15 i think (i just did one in mine 2 days ago) just very carefully pry the old one out with a screwdriver (be careful not to scratch the metal around where the seal sits) and tap a new one in with a hammer (be gentle and go slow)

thanks i got that done, but now something else happened that really pissed me off. ok the boot on the drivers side half shaft the inner boot somehow ripped. I went to like 6 diffrent stores and no one had the correct boot. Every boot they showed me was round, and mine is tulip shaped!! Theyre even saying that shaft is from another car!!! SOMEONE HELP ME! The previous owner may have changed axles or something i dont know... thanks, should i try to find a boot that fits that axle or should i just buy a new one? thanks

maybe you have some wierd kind of reman. Ive never seen a non-round honda axle boot... thats really strange. You could just get another reman axle for like $50 and let them deal with it.

to tell you the truth it sounds like it would be better to just change the shaft pluss its much more eazyer then changing the boot in my eyes

that is defin not the right axle, looks like redneck enginering to me(yo billybob will that axle fit?, dunno clyde get me that sledgehammer over 'chere) got 'er done!! :stupid: :slap:  nappa has got the felpro seals and they were pretty good. if you don't want to go to the dealer you could try a good transmission shop and see if they can get them.

The appearance of the boot is irrelevant, just make sure it's the right length and diameter at both ends. Boots are a mess, it may be easier to just get a new axle, also if it's beendriven with a ripped boot for more than a day or two you can bet all the axle grease flew out and that axle is going down soon

also I'm pretty sure Kragan has that seal, I used to buy all my stuff there when I lived on the West Coast.
Tell them you need the "axle seals for the transmission".
If they can't find it ask for someone else who will also verify.
If Kragan doesn't carry it NAPA or Honda should
