Just wondering (hyperthetically) whats the maximum displacement we could get from the B20??
Thinking of stroker kit, re-sleeve? and anything else you could think of.....
some guy used a stroker kit on the 'A' series and reached 2400cc!!
I guess the maximum would have to stop as far as the water jackets or when the head combustion chambers start to develop valve pockets?? :welcome: :rice:

sounds like a nightmare. Somebody had a stroker kit for the a20? It either uses mad overbore, or makes the stroke bigger, neither of which is a good way to go in either engine

Longer stroke in a B20A is a bad idea I think. Rather get a B18A engine with the shorter stroke. (good luck finding one though)

hypathetically, not HYPERthetically. Other than that, I have no idea.

Id think lkeeping the stock stroke and boring it to try and get more of a square bore or at least a better ratio would be a good thing. Sleeves are good enough now Id trust them as long as they didnt go too overboard on the bore and the shop specialized in import sleeving. I could see 2.2l from a b20

Indeed. The B18A would be a better choice for high revving. Well, I get my B20A up to 7200 rpm os it's really not that much of an issue.
