Found a 89 Honda Accessories brochure in my car... (56K look out)

So i noticed there was a little paperwork folder in trunk of my car behind the manual.. i opened it up and found some old reciepts and an 1989 Honda Accessories brochure! kinda cool to see exactly what accessories came standard and what else you could add on. anyways heres some pix:

hehe one of the reciepts i found was an original accessory reciept for the floormats.. and an armrest!! i wonder where the armrest went though cause there is no armrest in my car :( i doubt it ever got installed i wonder if it's still kicking around my aunt's garage lol

yeah it sucks they're so small, but those black and silver ones are definitely the best ones on there

i found the arm rest already thought the mud guards were standard, the right mirror was optional????? in 89???? thats right my ex wife's 93 dx civic only had one mirror, didn't even have an antenna. well she wrecked it about a dozen times finally totaled it didn't know the plastic trim on the wheel wells was optional. mine had the cassette player originally. didn't list the power antenna unusual, or the cruise might have been standard in 89

if you look on the options chart the DXs didnt come with a right hand mirror.. and mud gaurds were an option on the rears for all accords, but came standard on the fronts

I like them. I think I'd want them mounted more flush though. Then they would look more like a part of the car, not just stuck on there.

yeah the brochure says 1989 but it was printed in 1988.. perhaps before they decided to come out with the SE-i?

i had stock foglights before my father managed to destroy one of them on a parking cement block thing (i lent him the car for a week and he managed to do this, and break both housings off the back of the tail-lights inside the trunk, :uh: )

they provided sufficient light, but they were ugly as hell... seriously, they were ugly. no sane human would opt to purchase those. furthermore, the housings block the bolts for the bumper, and you can't remove the housings without removing the bumper :confused:

so, long story short, i hammered off the housings after giving up on trying to find a replacement lens. you won't be able to find the lights in stores, maybe in JY or on ebay.

JDM foglights are cool looking........i want some but if corners are impossible to find (they came stock) the foggies wud be impossible
