Socal Track Meet!!!!!

What up guys. Well since alot of you guys seem to be interested in a track meet i think we should have one! Plus its close to me for once lol. What i was thinking of doing is meeting up at the walmart parking lot by my house early maybe like 1 or something then if my car isnt running or whatever you guys can come to my house and check it out if you want or just hang out there. The walmart parking lot is HUGE there would be tons of spots where no one would even come close to parking by us so we can all be parked together. In that shopping lot we would only have to walk like 10 feet to get to a jack-in-the box, deltaco, panda express, a pizza place, a mexican resturant, kfc, or if you wanna walk across the street there is taco bell, and mcdonlads. So if you wanna eat some food we have EVERYTHING right next to us. Then around 4.45 or so we could All cruise to lacr together (best to get there right as they open) about 15-20 minutes from the meet up. Race there for as long as you want. Then go home or whatever it would be a full day meet but it should be fun! Let me know guys what you think!




EDIT!!! For anyone who doesnt know! The meet is on august 12 at 1pm. We are going to be meeting up at walmart, there we can eat talk, etc, and then later on in the evening heading out to lacr to race are cars. The cost is 15$ to race all night.

LACR is 5$ bucks to watch the racing and 15$ to race all night. If you wanna race in the car with someone its still just the 5$ that you paid to get in.

The only things they check on your car is the battery to make sure its tied down good, and they check to see if you have a coolant overflow tank. IF you have your battery relocated to the trunk (ian) then you need to have a battery shut off switch on the outside in the back of your car. I dont think you guys would want to do that (i wouldnt) so i dont know what to say lol. They may say they check other things but i go there at least a few times a month so i know the routine lol.

When ever is best for you guys. Im going to be gone from july 16th to the 23rd. Remember its got to be on a wendesday or friday. Everyonce inwhile they have this thing called street racer nights on saturdays which is the same thing basically but your times arnt posted infront of everyone but you still get a slip. I dont know when the next one is though, and usually street racer nights are way to packed.

Yea, you just have to have a overflow tank. Doesnt matter if its aftermarket or not you just have to have one.

They arnt going to care about your handles at all trust me. I believe last time i was out there there was a truck racing with shaved handles.

1320BOY, sorry i havent been posting much in last few days, i now work 12 hour shifts at night. 4:00pm-4:00am so i am not around much untill fridays except today, i have to work today or i should say tonight/or tomorrow or whatever. my internal body clock is all back-asswords with the hours i work. i never got any response about the hoods. i work tomorrow so i will just call blownoffvalve directly on saturday and see whats up. i dont really care what friday you all want to go, just pick one and i'll be there. :rockon:

well they have 2 import lines and 2 doemestic lines and yea you just get in one of the import lines and who ever you are next too is who you are gonna race. But if you get there early you have a higher chance of getting to race who you want, since there wont be too many people there yet.

yeah, i'll race any one i dont care. i dont have anything to prove or any thing. i am going to try to get my friend to go, he has an integra with the b18c5 fully built and a type r spoon tranny and ecu. i drove that shit on the 4th and god damn thats shits fast. i couldn't keep the torque steer under contol until i was going almost 70 in second and let off the gas a little. i topped out the speedo at 140 in 3rd but the car kept pulling. i dont know how fast i was going so i want to see that shit on the track and find out.

Because i dont know if you know it but, Lacr is known as the "home of import drag racing" there arnt going to be just slow cars out there trust me (minus the 20second civics) Even just in the area, sure there are tons of ricers but its not uncommon for me just to drive down the street and see a couple turboed cars just crusing down the block. There are alot of imports out at lacr that mean buisness. Some times there isnt many fast people out there and other times there will be porfessional import drag racing teams aka: 8 second civics and shit practicing out there. Last time i was there there was a 10 second flat daily driver civic out there. Anyways just giving you a heads up.

I doubt they will care. You do have to write down your drivers licence number but i believe people from other states race there all the time so i doubt you will have a problem.

you guys looking forward to the meet??!!!! I got my car running! Im fixing all the little stuff now. And im in the tuning process too. Needs alittle work but not too much. It feels pretty strong too. The turbo came loose on the manifold today which kinda sucked. But i fixed that too.

Wooh! I'm looking forward to the meet. My car is running fine, and i can show you all my new exhaust. It sounds goooood. Though i think i still have a leak in the exhaust up towards the front. I can hear the motor a little too much (i think).

DAMN, ive been working on my car so damn much to get it ready for this meet! HOLY SHIT! Ive done so much lol. And still have so much to do lol. Right now i got my engine just held up by jacks from the bottom because i got my motor mounts out and and trying something new with them to stiffen them up alot. Its going pretty well. The car is fairly fast. Still needs some tuning i think. I think i could turn up the boost alot safely but im not going to push it for now. Its beyond laggy though. It wont make boost till 5000+ lol, because of some wastegate problems. But no big deal. Not sure what it will do at the track because of the little things and that fact that im on 100% bald tires, and im sure not going to be able to get new ones by then. Im still looking forward to this meet so much, just got to finish the car lol.

Hey btw: i got a catback exhaust for sale! Its a 2 1/4 inch catback with a A.C autotechnic muffler. This exhuaust looks awesome and isnt huge at all its perfect size in my opinion. It didnt sound ricey at all with my header on it too. It was loud but i never had the silencer in lol. It was oriaganally designed for a hatch back not the 4 door im not sure about the coupe. But i had it installed on mine no problem. The only thing was it was a few inches too short and sat under my bumper alittle. Which i didnt really care for anyway but ill show you the pics of how it sat under my bumper too. Its all MANDREL BENT except for the last couple feet right by the muffler. So this thing will flow awesome! I have the silencer for it too. Muffler is in good shape. No dings minor scratches but still shines up real nice. Im asking 200$ for the catback. Just the muffler was 200$ when it was new! I will also throw in a High flow cat, should be smog friendly in cali. For 30$ more. Its also pictured in the pics!

And here is the pic of it installed on a 4 door. See it sits a few inches behind the bumper. It wasnt a big deal for me i kinda liked it better that way lol. But on a hatchback it will fit perfect!

As far as i know yes. It has the flanges for the 3gee on it. But i cant be 100% positive because i had it on a different downpipe. But im pretty sure its perfect. Ian im sure you remember what your old one looked like so you can compare the flanges if you want. Or maybe bring your old one and compare it.

correct. You can even have her in your car while you race if you want. You just need to make sure she signs this sheet when they are doing the car inspection.

sorry guys but i am not going to be able to go to the meet:( i have two doctor appointments on Friday. When I was in Toronto my back has been hurting a lot , right now its at a point where I cant sit down for more then 30 min, today I went to my therapist and he said that my progress has taken a step back so he made an appointment with my neurologist and I have the other appointment with him. My appointment with the neurologist is at 1:30 pm and I have the appointment with the neurologist at 3:00pm. Man and I was really wanting to go to this meet

well no matter how many of us there are its still going to be cool. Hopefully we will get more but i dont know. Im having more problems with mine but im going to try to fix some of them. I really want to race. I got to keep it form over heating now though. And on top of that i was trying to practice my launches on the street today even with my 100% percent bald tires and i couldnt keep the clutch from slipping as soon as boost kicks in it would just slip. But if im at the track and i just give it some cool down time and keep the engine running cool and the clutch not too hot it should do alright for then. Im not expecting too much out of my car by then.

yea, i should have 2 other 3geez out there atleast hopefully. I talked to the guy with the h22 3gee and he says it still needs alot of work and will be done september so he cant make it out. Were going to meet up at walmart at 1pm and hang out, eat, etc. Then we are giong to go to lacr around 4.45-5.00 (takes about 15 minutes to get there from walmart) Racing starts there at 5.30 so we will be the first people out there racing and then you guys can stay as long as you want. Lacr closes at 10.30 i believe.

nope just need to have a licence! Is your battery in the front?? Your battery needs to be strapped down good even if its just with rope or something as long as its secure.

Ah, what a fun meet! Heheh, i was goin 120 on the 14 on the way back.. It was deserted out there! Then on the way home some Jetta was going all fast, so i did a fly by at about 90.. We then proceeded to play around until a mile or so before my exit, then we were flat out racing for a minute or two. I kept up ok, but he pulled away a bit until finally he was too far away and my exit was up. Haha.

What a fun night! Adam, get those pics up dude!

18s,19s,20s, I think ian actually had the fastest time for the a20s i think he had a 18.0 but alot of people were having car troube and there cars werent running at there best just like mine wasnt.
