I just noticed this on my newly acquired 3G. If I touch the spark plugs #1 and #3 I feel knocking. #1 actually moves. The wire that is. #2 and #4 are silent. Checked my old car and no such thing occurs.

Also, I thought I'd bring this up, the car got 16.7MPG my first fill up driving city only, but it got 34.7MPG highway only prior to that. CAI, headers, 36" resonator, 2.25" cat back, turbo muffler.

Is it possible that driving hard on 17"s takes that much juice? Tires are at 43.5PSI too.

The RPM meter is about 250RPM off, but it all works other than that.

feel knocking from the spark plugs? i dont think that really means a lot.

driving hard eats gas, not rolling on 17's.

Boy, were those things loose. Tightened them and no more knock. Should have tried that before posting. Sorry all.

hah hah. that cant be good. glad you fixed em!

of course, thats not as bad as my problem with knocking noises. I was driving down the road and was hearing a bad clunking sound. come to find out, 3 of the lugs were almost comepletely off and the 4th was hardly hand tight.

Yeah, I forgot to fully tighten the lug nuts on a wheel once. That indeed was a bad sound and even worst shaking.
