How many of yall w/ automatic transmissions can hit 60-65mph in 2nd gear?

It Depends, really, as to whether the accellerator is pumping hard when you push the pedal, or if it's slow and laggy.

I find when i get a slow and laggy start, where it doesn't feel like my engine is actually producing speed, or even revving above 2500r i can hit second gear at a higher speed (55-65MPH) and 3rd at about 80MPH

when the accellerator actually pulls my car, however, i get gear changes at ~27, ~36, and ~53-55, but that's like taking my car from stopped to redline (6000r)

dunno if it helps, but my car is a daily driver, (though i drive fast) so it may just have gotten used to shifting faster and slower depending on if i've stepped on the accellerator a couple of times...

that was pre turbo, when my auto-tragic blew up at the track. I drove it to work an back (29mi ea way) for 5 weeks going 65mph at 6200 rpm there and back. I hit 70mph and 6800 ish rpm regularly, and somtimes held it there for a minute at a time. All i had was 1st and 2nd and somtimes reverse. Last time i had 3rd and 4th i was wasting some ass monkey in a ford focus at the track, slipping to oblivion.

my auto used to shift by itself at exactly 6000 so I'd shift just before 60mph unless I held it with D2

Haven't tried, but I don't doub I'd be able too. I don't feel like taking my transmission to that high of RPM, I'll feel guilty.
