ok. first off, this is actually a question about my Honda bike, but it's an electrical question about H4 headlights, so it could go for the 3g too. My question is, i want to run with both the high and low beam filaments on. i just want to know if doing so would cause the bulb to run too hot, or if it'd be too much for the ground coming off the back of the headlight, or what? any opinions would be appreciated. and i want to do this with my bike so that i get a better light spread, from close to far away like newer bikes that have two bulbs do.

if you are going to run both elements at the same time, you will burn up the light bulb a lot faster. i have done that. bulbs last 3 times less than what they supposed to.
leave it the way it is, and get yourself fog lights.

ok, that's basically what i wanted to know. and foglights aren't really an option on the bike. oh well, guess i'll just stick to high beams, and possibly look for an aftermarket headlight housing that has better light dispersion.
