It's nice being on vacation, except for my kids driving me nuts. Finally put my new wheels on, along with a Borla Universal muffler and oval tip. They're Rota Slipstreams, 16x7 Steel Grey w/ polished lip, shod with Falken 512s, 205/16-50s. Found the wheels new on ebay for $460. The muffler cost $100/ tip $65, all stainless, from Summit Racing. The muffler is VERY quiet w/ a slight burble, slightly louder at lower-mid-level frequency, mostly at idle; no tinny or annoying raspiness at all. Cruising db is a negligible difference, which I like. The car has a 1" drop. Hope you like the pics.

Lookin sharp, gotta love the rotas. and that borla muffler might be like the one I had a while back. It didnt have that ricey sound to it when you got on it. Damn kids and their bumblebee exhaust...

You can keep those skinny 40 series; I think they look too weird on our body styles, or w/ any wheel for our cars, IMO. I'm VERY tempted to drop it another inch, but I think I'll play it conservative for now, especially since the new ST springs are only a couple of months old. Maybe next year.
I can recommend the Borla Universal muffler. I just got back from a 2-hr trip visiting my sister and the muffler is quiet at cruising anywhere from 70 to 100. I believe Borla says it's rated at 95 db tops. It's the tonal quality that does it for me, not the loudness. I'm getting the biggest kick out of listening to the exhaust whenever I come to a stop and take off. Moto bono Borla! I don't know if this muffler added any HP, but w/ the lighter wheels and new muffler, the car does seem to have a bit more "urgency" to it, especially from a stop. It's hard not being a leadfoot now.

One more photo, on the way to Fresno, 108 degrees. NO air conditioning and I just put in some sheepskin seat covers. Yes, I died on the way there and was resuscitated with an ice-cube IV, lol.

uhm...205/45/16 isn't that skinny if you ask me.

thats 205/45/16 tire. I say it looks proper, dont you? :)

I'm happy with my inch drop (well performance-wise)

i like to see a bit more meat in the wheel well personally, it just fills it up better... if i get 16s i will definetly get 45 series... my 17s had 40 series and it was ok.. . ':)

45 profile on a 205 tire is pretty decent size. NIce look tho, for a sec ur car looked like busted blue's lol. HOpe to see ur engine bay soon.
