So as some/many of you know, I'm in Greece for the summer working at the US embassy here. Well, it just so happens that 3geez member Lok also lives in Athens ! So we met up today, had coffee (like all good Greeks) and generally bs'ed about cars. Hondas aren't too big in Athens, but his family's accord is beautiful. His dad bought the car new in 1987 and it now only has 94k kms on it! Every other 3g that I've seen here, and there aren't many, are absolutely torn up, scraped, and with lenses broken out. This car is a peach! Complete with a whopping 1600cc carbed motor.

He doesn't have internet service at his house, so if you do have questions, let me know.

Sweet! Nice to see some european action :) If you're going to help out on any ebassy's in Scandinavia any time soon well do a scandivian 3geez meet

Oh and I actually didnt think that the 1.6L engines came with A/C. Must be because it's in a warmer climate than up here.

Whoa, No EGR and A/S valve... mated with a manual choke and warning light. NICE!

The A16 really seems to be the same as the A18 and A20 from the outside.

The car is in really great shape!

yo Jean, last week I just did an engineswap in an accord like that, only it was the basemodel instead, so no powersteering or a/c. The enginebay is almost empty in those models hehe.
I swapped in a 105hp 1.8L ET prelude engine I had sitting around. That thing is whopping compared to the A16 lol. Ripped off most of the few vacuum lines the 1.8L engine had, so now it has even less lines than the A16 did.
I still have the A16 engine sitting at the garage if you want some pics of the manifold and carb, vacuum lines are ripped off though.

Ha, just saw this got bumped.

That car is actually his father's so I don't think any parts are coming off of it any time soon. The most remarkable part about the car is not only that it's ridiculously clean and dent free, but the car has been in Athens and looks like that. Pretty much every other car is at least a big scuffed or beat up there (4+ million people live there). Anyhow, hopefully Stratos sees this thread so he can respond.

Hi guys and thanks for the vibes.

This Accord is in Perfect condition but totally stock.

Even the Stereo system is the stock from Honda Dealer back in 1987.

The Euro 2.0L Accords had a digital Honda Pioneer Stereo back on the days.

Sorry for the late reply, but from 30 September I am back to Greece (finish the studies on U.K) and I haven't got Internet Connection at Home.

I am posting from Internet Cafe.

Carotman my carb is a two stages Keihin 20/26 (too small).

Still works perfect after 19 years.

BUT, one friend in U.K had an Accord 2.0L (106bhp), and the carburator was different, a Keihin 32/34 if I remember correct?

I check it and was different, also the throttle cable was in different position.

My Accord has manual chock but 2.0L has Automatic.

I don't Know if you want to restore any carb Accord, but if you care about Performance then better to swap the carb from the 2.0L Euro Engine.

The best I think is to just swap a WEBER 38/38.

Any good performance shop can do this.

I had a Friend here in Greece who swaped a WEBER 32/36 in a 89 mod Civic 1.2 (D12) and also convert the chock from manual to automatic.

I think there is advice also on this site about weber conversion.

As for Photos, I haven't got digital camera.
One Friend of me has Digital camera but would be back to Athens in about 9 days from today.

I'll ask him, if you want some photos.....no problem with the airbox.

See also if Thegreatdane can help you ( I think he can) and

Also if Alex is in Greece? no problem if he want to have a second meeting, and take some photos of the carb.

Here's some fugly pics taken with the only thing I had with me, my phone. Afraid I cant sell you the carb, since it's not my engine. Unless the owner wants to part with it.
