I got some new rims, and tires. The rims need tires so i got some goodyears from a friend of mine. The tire size is 17/225/35, rim size is 17x7. They mounted fine. I am waiting to replace, and paint brakes before i put them on.
I am just wondering if anybody used this size before. I have checked all the sites there is no info on this size. Any feedback will be helpfull thanks.

that size dosent sound wierd. most times the order of numbers will be: tire width, side wall hight, and wheel size/inner diameter. so you'd ususally see it 225/35/17. most times when i've asked, mostly all members have said 215 is the widest you'd wanna go. but i think you can get away with a 225 without too much rubbing, you'll have to try them out i suppose. i dont really know wheels by brand much, but are those motegi MR7's? i think they'd look good with a Honda center cap if you could get ahold of one.

lol i dont know where you looked at. but the right form is 225/35/17. i sure as hell hope that rim has atleast 48mm offset, if not greater. The reason is, you will rub regardless if you are less than 48mm, if its less than that, just give away the rim rather than trying to put it on ur car and make it fit.
ps: you should have read the FAQ section before you went ahead and ordered these things.

Why do people ask if it fits AFTER they have already bought tires & rims. It's a little late now.
Peace.

ha, my friend has these enkei wheels. the first time he showed me them i told him they were 5 lug. he said nah, they'll fit because they are universal. but i tried explaining that they were universal for 5 lug hubs. nope, didnt listen. he had them painted, had $800+ tires put on and everything. got em home and they wouldnt fit. heh, what a dumbass! ah, i dont think i could make a mistake like that.

ack ack, for sure.. check BEFORE you buy.. although i like those rims.. similar to the ones i imagined i want for my 3g.. but i think i wanna go only 5 point star.. white though i think... is 14" stock? or 15.. i'm pretty sure i have some 15's.. might be 16's... wanna get some nice low profile tires and maybe some bigger rims and do a drop and maybe a rear disc conversion if i can find some SEi parts.. ugh.. to many projects in that area. but i'm pretty clueless when it comes to specific tires types. so yeah i guess i should do some research.. i hear rear disc conv. is becoming harder and harder to do.. should get on the ball.
anyways... i like the rims, but you dont want something ghetto in there... get some that will fit :D

Sorry i got the size order wrong. The rims are exel BK-7. I got the wheels for free. The tires I got for 100 bucks. They were supposed to be 205 but when i went to pick them up the guy told me wrong. I thought what the hell a 100 dollar gamble. I was just wondering if anyone used that size.
