Sounds interesting, you should post up some pics when you get a chance. I was thinking about using one for a 89-90 civic since the rear setup is almost the same.

Eh.....that is a usless little tab that no one would use to jack a car from anyway. When Josh posts pics you will see, it's a little nothing to sacrafice for a mod that you can get CHEAP.
And we all know that almost anything we get.....we have to mod anyway.

Ahh, thanks for the info. I just bought one for myself, now added to the SE-i front and rear disc brakes and sway bars I think I'll be in for a little treat :-)

On my 90 I have the Front and Rear Strut Brace as well as the rear Lower Tie Bar. I had no problems with installing anything aside from having to take out the trunk lining and cutting a space to fit the rear brace on both sides. Took like an hour for the total install. Now I am waiting for my master bushing set from ES and then lowering system. I am going with TEIN. Don't flame me, I like TEIN. Anywho, the only thing I will need after is upgraded swaybars and I am done. BTW, the strut braces and tie bar are all TENZO R. Cost me like 150-170 total on Options Auto Salon. Great place for parts. http://www.optionsauto.com/ I recommend this site. Even has some 86-89 parts. Way cool!!!!!!! John

yea thats why I make custom bars that bolt on cause not everyone can or is willing to chop up their car or parts. though that bar does look pretty clean, good work.

if you say 90-97 then why are there two different options when ordering? 90-93, 94-97?

Doesnt matter....When i bought mine i it said 90-93 but also said fits 90-97 so regraudless man.....

90-93 and 94-97 are nothing but 90-97. those two gens are exactly the same when it comes to engine codes, placements, suspension parts and such. they are pretty much the same chassie execpt for the body style, but everythign else like the ones mentioned above are the same.
Rendon, its a lot easier to do this

not complete bolt-on. you have to do some cutting. look at LEG1ON's and Rendon's pix to see where. i just bought one so i'll probably put it on one day when i get the will and desire to do some cutting. and a blade to do it.

the rod diameter matters. If you get a flat one like the DC sports, u will be able to clear the bottom jack point.

If you get a thin one like DC sport then you dont have to cut anything. The installation only requires the removal of two bolts then you are done.

i dont know if you guys have noticed, that center piece serves as a sort of low point for drainage. inside at the bottom of the trunk thres a little rubber grommet designed to let only water pass through, as long as its not clogged.
i found out by hosing my trunk out, after 3 gallons of used motor oil dispersed itself on the way to oil pickup. and my 3g no.2 has a leak at the trunk channel but stays dry.
just one of those lil things that make them different from those lumbering american rustwagons :)

what did you guys use to do your cutting? and how hard is that metal to cut?
im thinking it would be pretty easy to see what needs to be cut, you dont need to cut anything unless your going to put on one of those lower tie bars and when you go to put it on you should see exactly what needs to be cut cause as far as i can tell it wont go on unles you cut the little hookie thing, so i say just buy one ,try to put it on, if it doesnt go on look at whats stoping it and cut that

I did not have to cut anything putting on the 2 lower tie bars from Justin, but it WAS a tight fit. I just hammered the outer one in place (w/ a piece of wood), no problem. For the upper bar, I wanted to keep the plastic shock tower cover, so I just trimmed what was necessary.

Yep. It's the internet. Which means the only way people can judge you or attempt to understand you is through your ability to write. Punctuaction generally makes things less confusing to understand. Please try using it sometime.
PS: cares, not cars.
god i feel like im back in school. i honestly dont care what ppl think of me, its across the internet, it really doesnt matter that much to me so you can keep correcting my grammer or spelling as long as it makes you feel better cause its doing nothing for me, back on track hey, any word from justin to when hes gonna be making some bars again?

mine have fitted perfectly without any mods... It was a Megan Racing accord 90-97
so i got the megan racing one for the 90-97 accord too, but it is not fitting. at least not very easily. does it matter if you have your car on ramps or not? (because that's where i have mine.) but beyond that, the bar isn't clearing the jack point. it is clearing it better than the round one i got before, but will definitely be a tight fit if i get it to fit at all.
L3G10N
12-29-2005, 12:37 PM
the car need to be jacked and yes, it was a tight fit but mine fit without any mods, but as you said, was a tight fit. Worst case, you can shave each extremity of the bar to give you some space to play with and shorter the bolt who get into the bar. This was a point I was thinking to do this summer when i'll receive my other Megan strut bar(i'll need to mods 'em as i did for my Ractive/Vibrant one).

Well, I wouldn't spend alot on one. I got one of the E-bay for $25 or something like that.
And anytime you are connecting suspention parts together.........you are reducing their movement. I can't really say I noticed a huge difference, but I don't think it's a waste of $$$$$
With my car as low as it is, on Koni's and Tokico's it handles like it's on frickin rails anyway, so a little more stiffnes in the rear dosn't hurt.
