For comparision..here is the Tein side jacked up and the picture below is the Tokicos... look at the 3inch height difference....

Basically the Tein strut body is too short. You can extend the shock body with some custom welding but..I do not have the extra money to customize everything.

That being said...at least I know that the struts in the rear wont work. the front will definitely work..without major modifications.

and I scrapped the project before I even got the rear down. Everyone knows that when you jack up a car, the wheels go down a bit..but the lack of arm travel because it is 3inches too short, I refused to drive my car like that. Normally the LCA points downwards when on a jack..but with these, the LCA were paralel to the ground. Of course that means that the car will have it's LCA point to the sky when it is lower. Because of this and also my swaybar hits the LCA at that height. Too much to lose and make it work for me right now so I'm scrapping the project.

A good option for those without Koni Red Fronts. Kinda expensive, but you can buy them (not like the Konis). Teins ride really nice, IIRC.

Props for the effort. :) And thanks for letting us all know the 411.

Peace.

it managed to sit in and everything but..I have yet to try it on the floor..The ride would probably be far too low for me so..I figured give up. The spring is already has MAX height and I can't remove that 3inch gap without removed the rear fork and welding in a 3inch rod to fix the height.

The reason I went with the Tein SS is because it is after all...(USA Warranty) as well as japanese brand. The company has great service when you want to rebuild the shocks. The SS version has adjustability and it alot better than what you would normally pay with SKUNK2 or OMNIPOWER.

No, they didn't. His set is from a civic. Tein never made anything for the 3g.

asone...now im toying with the idea to mix and match a set of coilovers from an Civic EK....the front and back looks the same...i know i can fit the front...just the back need to be checked...but the top mount need to be fabricated....also need to get the stiffer ones to compensate the accord's extra weight compared to the EK...will keep updating....

ps.yes here in malaysia there are no performance parts that can be fitted onto the 3G.... :(

I used the top hats from our own cars but it seems we need a top hat with a smaller diameter.
