Make a mark to correctly reinstall the fuel pump cap back onto the fuel tank... or if for some reason the person who took it off didn't put the cap on facing the right way you can look at the fuel line and which way it's facing in the pics and try to make your cap face the same way as the one in the pic.

Notice I used some pliers to widen the hole for the access more... the access lid wont go back on but that doesn't bother me.

Is there any way to see these pics? I know this is a really old post. I will be doing this procedure tomorrow and some pics would really help. I have a 1988 LX A20A1. Its been giving me stalling problems. Went to check the fuel cap, and no pressure was released. Led me to believe it was the fuel pump going bad. Let me know if these pics can be viewed. Thanks for the help.

Pump pressure and your fuel cap have very little to do with each other.
