ok i've read how to do the lower ball joints, i think i'm going to use a press instead of a hammer, i've already got two spindles stripped down and ready for ball joints and wheel bearings. i've got to powder coat them yet, my question is how many seals are there on the wheel bearing and where are the seals located. the spindles i got were shot out and didn't have anything left of the seals. also where are some good sources for bearings, they run like 100 dollars a kit here. i've already got the hubs powdercoated and ready for the new wheel studs,i think arp makes wheel studs for our cars now. bearing first then hub correct? also it's really hard to press out those old bearings with the clips in place  . i actually had to make a tool that welded to the old bearings in order to get them out.

Don't you have a Chilton's manual? I'll check in mine when I get it in the mail. Just got the p.o.s. Haynes for now.

both the manuals i've got are very unclear on the seals. neither one shows the seals

that answers my question, one big dust seal. so i'll need a wheel bearing kit which includes wheel studs, bearings, seals, and i need new ball joints. i also need a money tree :uh:
