Yes, you can remove the ball joints from the rear arms. When i did mine i went to auto zone and rented a ball joint press when i bought the ball joints. Then all you have to do is press the old one out and the new ones back in. I have air tools so it was quite easy but you could still get it done if you have a big enough hammer.

LOL.....Thats a lot of work and waste of money! You can buy the arm with the balljoint for less then $10.00 more then the price of the ball joint. It's like $40.00 CAN for the arm and ball joint, whereas the ball joint is around $30.00. Don't waste your time, new rubber bushing also comes with the upper arm. Excellent Value!! :mod:

if you try to pry that rear ball joint apart and put it back together, you're taking a chance with your life. if it breaks while you are going down the highway you can fold up your rear wheel. you said you broke one you lucked out. there's a reason it's welded together. honda is still using this same basic suspension design on the accord, i think they knew what they were doing.

My ball joints weren't welded in they have a snap ring that held them in place after they were pressed in, just the same as the stock ones on my car so I'm not taking any chance.

You can buy the entire control arm with ball joint from Advance auto for about $18. Why bother removing the ball joint. I did both rears when on separated.

18 bucks? do you have a three g time machine or something? here they are 100 dollars each and autozone doesn't have them only advance.

Here is the Advanceauto parts prices.
I think $18 for the whole set up is little off.

I just called Advance Auto and they told me they are no longer available. I would guess that's why the price is going up. They are not being made as much anymore. I still have the receipt for the two I bought from them and they were $16.88 ea Plus tax. No core charge.

Told yah guys it was around 40 bones for the complete ass. , well worth the $40. Don't think you can get'em any cheaper then that. It's a good deal, when compared to the front upper control arms, completed with bushings/arm/ball joint for at least $105.00 ea.!! What a rip-off! :mod:

mine were 100 bucks each without the bushings, i had to buy the bushings by themselves, then i had to use the factory caps and bolt, those parts are not available anymore, the caps with the grease seals in them.

Wow,,,I in Canada and last month I replaced the left front upper and it was $85.90 Can plus $30.00 for the complete bushing kit, yah it doesn't come with new caps and bolt. What a joke for the price you pay.... :werd:
