POWERED BY HONDA
The Auburn Formula SAE race team came out to the plant for a demo yesterday and to just have a good time. This is powered by a Honda 600 bike engine and is a smaller version of an indy car,but just as high tech. try sub 3 second o-60 times, and a 15000 rpm redline, carbon fiber body and chromoly frame.etc.etc.

it's bigger then it looks. i'm going to post some more pics as soon as i get some more. they are going to send some. this is a regular CART car. some people thought it was a go cart, but it's a real formula car. i hope i can get a video, pictures don't do this thing justice. one second it's there the next it's halfway down the taxiway. it's interesting because it's an airshifter,it upshifts automatically under acceleration and you can upshift and downshift through the buttons on the wheel. here's the link for more pics and stats http://www.eng.auburn.edu/organizations/SAE/AUFSAE/raceresults.html

yea i can imagine, where I work is one of the sponsors. these guys worked really hard on this car, i went through the website, and after meeting them they really know their stuff. these could be future honda engineers, let's hope so.
