I will be replacing it soon, seems pretty straight forward...however you have to flush the brake fluid as well and I hear its pretty tough. Any tips or advice for this procedure?

Use a flare nut wrench taking off the brake lines. Fill the master clyinder to full & keep it it at least half full thoughout the bleeding process.
The correct order of bleeding is left front, right rear, right front, left rear. Attach a tight fitting hose over the bleeder valve to a (clear) container with half full of brake fluid. Bleed the brakes untill no bubbles are seen in the container for each wheel.

Also dont forget to bench bleed your master cylinder to get all the air out, or else youll end up with air in your lines even if you bleed the brakes after installing...
