ok, well i've had my prelude steering wheel for about 3 years. doesnt seem that long but its been on there for that amount of time. i liked it, but it was old and starting to show if you looked close enough. anyway, i ordered the wheel adapter like last week, got that earlier this week, and today got the wheel. looks pretty nice. at least it matches the interior. only thing i'm buggin about is the horn isnt going to work right. its not the wheel but the adapter itself. it has this copper back to it that's supposed to be the +. dont see how this is supposed to work, its obviously not working correctly because the horn would stay continuesly on. on my accord it has a male connector for the + that goes to the horn and the steering shaft is the -. go figure on that damn adapter. dont know how i'm gonna do that, i tried fixing it by just running wires, but the thing that spins around that the plug goes on wont move with the wheel really because the adapter doesnt have the little holes for the little studs to fit in like honda wheels do. anyway, i'll figure something out when i can. but for now there it is.

i'll see if i can do something like that. i'll have to get another spinning thing because it was messed up by the adapter hub. even then i can just solder new male connectors on instead of using another spinny thing. but um, my adapter didnt look like that, wish it was more like that though! dont know how the hell this thing's supposed to work correctly. maybe i'll take it off tomorrow or something and show how it is. i really dont want to though. finally my steering wheel is strait when driving, its hasnt been since i had the steering rack replaced. even with trying to adjust the wheel on the spline, but with this new one it worked out. anyway, i'll try that thing with the L brackets since i know where to get those and JB weld. thanks for the info, i hadnt seen that before. for now the horn's fuse is disconnected. so no horn, that sucks.

Your speakers are too detached from the door...
How about painting it this way?

What the heck, I thought that was only the japanese market. Does that switch replace the normal push/pull tab sitting at the top rear of the door lining?

It doesn't replace it... it still has a manual lock on the door. When you flip the switch the manual lack pops up too.

here's an update. i finally am getting around to things and this was one of them. since i got the steering wheel i've been without a horn because i didnt wire it up. i decided to do it today. i had to make it so the hub that the wires are in will move with the steering wheel. i made the thing out of plexiglass and super glue it to the hub. i just did it real quick, but it works really well. made sure it didnt scrape anything or wires. so here's a few pix, i'll probley take it off one more time tomorrow just to check on how well its glued on. i'll take a few more pix then.

i'm wondering if i should maybe put some type of epoxy on there so it stay really good. maybe JB weld? the super glue seemed to do good though, but i dunno. there isnt much resistance with that rotating hub though, it still rotates freely, probley because its still got that grease in there. its great having a horn! i didnt realize how much i missed it. lol.

i am actually running into the same problem myself with my aftermarket wheel. i found out that my problem was since my coupe had cruise control, the ring selector where the horn switch was different. i originally had the wheel hooked up on my hatch with the horn working so i went back and checked my hatch switch assembly and now i see the difference. my easy fix will to just get a switch assembly from a car without cruise control. its hard to explain without pics, tomarrow ill get some new batterys and show you

yeah get some pix if you can because i'm sure there's going to be more and more people that'll run into a bit of a problem. i actually took the prongs off where the cruise control and horn plugged into and just soldered one power wire onto it running it up through the addapter to the horn button. that makes for quick disconnection if i need to do so. i didnt take the wheel off today, but i probley will sometime soon. i'll be sure and take more pix of everything.
