Cat. Converter size?

I wanted to know the dimensions for the cat. converter on a 89 Accord LX so that I can have a muffler shop make a straight pipe for track use. I think it is 2" in/out and 18" long?

well our stock pipe ID is 1.75"

There may be some widening at the flanges for gaskets perhaps.

Also our cat has offset flanges, meaning the inlet is not centered with the outlet... so a perfectly straight pipe will not fit right... if you do bolt it on it may be under stress.

you could always do it the cheap way and just hollow out the cat...
