I have heavy ass 18" chrome rims on my 3gee right now! I've noticed the sacrifice in performance, but can't bare to part part w/ them. Do they make light weight chrome rims? Or even polished aluminum or alloy? Something attractive but still "close" to the stock rim weight in a 17 or 18.

:lol Ya know when ever I would see your user name I'd always think in the back of my mind, he's runnin heavy rims. I know, it's just me:wave: I've done some research, it's tuff to find info on just how much a given rim weighs. Figure that the stock rims weighed about 16lbs It's tuff, really tuff to find a 17" rim that light, usually you can find them as light as 19lbs, but most 17's are 23lbs+. I do some looking and see what I can find. BTW, light weight means $$$.

don't know how accurate the listed weights are, but the ones I've seen listed here and then checked elsewhere have been listed right.

Well I know of two wheels that are pretty lightweight and that are still flashy. 1 of them is Velox Wheels (http://customwheelsmarket.com/velox-wheels-velox-wheels-for-passenger-cars.html) and Centerline Wheels (http://www.centerlinewheels.com/w_catalog/fwd.html) Both of these wheels are pretty expensive but if you want lightweight chrome this is the only two that I can think of. a 19" rim that weighs 15lbs, now that is scary.

i would agree, velox and centerline would prolly be your best bet for a blingin light rim, you could try racing hart or volk, but they are extremely costly... best of luck

You could always go smaller and cheap: 14" 1996 Civic HX rims: 12lbs. You could also try to find some Rota Slipstreams, and have them chromed, but I think it would kill their weight.

buy rota SS's and keep em whatever color you get them in, i got them, i love them, sleeperish, and 1/2 the weight of my old rims in the same size. personally i feel chrome doesnt belong on honda's, go with a solid light rim. my .02
