yeah... my tranny is fucked so i need a new one. i'm planning on getting a b18 soon, but not like tomorrow or anything. in the mean time i would like to continue driving my car... so my question is will a y1 fit my a20? should i just go about finding a stock replacement for the time being?? i needs some helpin'.

THe Y1 is the JDM B16A tranny.

The only transmission that will fit there is the Accord/prelude Transmision or one from a D16A1 (Integra 1st gen)

D16a1 tranny fits?.. Bolt up?... All the years I been here, thats definately a new one...
Was the gearing compared to the A20?

The D16A1 tranny will work but you have to switch the bellhousings.

oh... well damn... i guess the y1 stays in storage until i get the b18... and the money for the mounts... and having it put in... shit. what's the transmission code for the a20??? wait.. nevermind.. i'll search.. thanks carrotman.

yeah... stock is the only option for the a20
yasu built a hybrid tranny and did a how-to on it a while ago.. dunno if that's still around or not.
