currently i am in the process of converting my car into a 5 speed from auto. i noticed that in park or neutral, it will idle at just over 1900rpm while its warming up. when i put it into gear, it will lower itself to about 1200rpm. when its fully warmed up, in park or neutral it will be roughly 1000rpm and about 800rpm or so in gear. when i finish converting it into a 5 speed, if i start it up, would be it idling at 1900rpm? im very busy in the morning, so i wont have any time to let it warm up as i wake up and leave the house very early. i dont want to launch the car every time for the first couple minutes at higher then normal rpms, so if it idles high, is there anything i can do about it?

thats normal!

but when it starts, it would be at 1900rpm, i havent driven standard cars often enough, but isnt 1900rpm kinda like launching the car? i know that if i let off the clutch at higher rpms, it would wear out the clutch a bit faster, but 1900rpm is kinda high dont ya think?

EDIT: would changing to a standard ECU help it out?

And I'm pretty sure you need the 5spd ecu aswell...

get an alarm with remote start and start the car right when you wake up.
