Well im planning on doing a few things here in the near future.

- Relocate battery to the trunk
- Optima Yellow Top battery
- 0 Guage battery wire (both pos and neg)
- 2 Guage engine grounds
- 3" Cold Air Intake

I have a few questions, for a high powered sound system that i will be putting in, plus LED light upgrade, h4 housings, etc. should i stay with my 0 Guage decision, or go to 2guage?

And, ive never seen anyone on here with a 3" Cold Air Intake, is there a reason for this? or is it just that nobody has tried it?

holy huge engine grounds batman! well, i guess for a really high powered system, it couldn't hurt. besides, wire is cheap when you're buying by the foot from car toys or something...

Yea, ill need roughly 25 feet of 0guage to run from the engine bay to my trunk, then probably 2feet of the 2guage for engine grounds, maybe 3 just to be safe.
Then i can get all kinds of gold connectors and what not at work (we can order them in at 2 guage). Now i just need to decide what battery terminals i want to use.

right on. but you'll need 60" (5 feet) of wire for the engine grounds. that's what i used anyway.

racerx do you have any pictures of your engine grounds? I am interested in doing this I've heard good things result when you improve your grounds. Thx

i'll get some today or tomorrow at the latest. i guess i should update pics on these things... lol

and yeah, it was a nice difference! a little more power, and all the electrical things work better. head lights don't dim when bass hits if the car is sitting still, windows roll up faster (way faster), etc. i bet the coil is getting better power too, and that's probably where i feel the slight power increase.

Nice. Matt what ground kit did you get? How much did it run you? Nate...I have a 3" cold air intake guy.

Really, I just changed the battery cables on mine, and i was thinking of working on some of the grounds... Gold is a great conductor, way way better than just regular metal that comes stock on our cars... So you should see great improvements even if you just change to gold..

i got 4gauge wire from CarToys, and about 60" of it. it was $1.50/foot, and the connectors I got were $2/each i think... for the gold ones. i got the gold ones from soundtrack, and then, since they were out, i got regular ones (aluminum? steel?) from home depot.

i think the whole thing cost me around $25. sorry i haven't gotten any pics up yet... still workin on that. i'll have 'em up in a few days tops.
