my car came without A/C and that is something id like to have for next summer. i was wondering if i can just buy all the parts for it like the hoses and compressor and such and all it all on. is this possible, and has anybody actually tried it?

Erm. The A/C system is going to cost you a load of money. The person i bought my car from had it replaced right before she sold it and it cost her like 1500$. But that was from honda.
You can try the scrap yards though. :)

should be possible. you'd need the compressor, probably a new accessory belt, the little radiator in your dash, the coolant lines, etc...

I think that it would be assuming you get the correct parts...
First the A/C compressor and clutch
Evap Core
A/C Condensor
Then of course a belt
All the proper lines and o rings and such
then probably a control for inside the car, im assuming your current one doesnt have a place for A/C since it wasnt factory installed....
Then retrofit high/low valves
and of course good old R134a or Freeze 12 which ever you decide....
You are of course going to have a job ahead of you and its still going to cost you some money if you goto junk yards and pull most of the parts... But if your like me (hot nature) then it will be worth it. Good Luck with it though.
